The Payments Team builds and operates the core services, shared libraries, and infrastructure behind our payment gateway.
We process merchant transactions across multiple payment providers, so our work sits on the critical path for money movement, and reliability, correctness, and observability are not optional.
Our goal is to ship faster, keep the system reliable under transactional load, and raise the engineering bar across the org.

Design, build, and maintain backend services and shared libraries consumed across gateway and integration teams
Develop scalable, cloud-native microservices, gRPC/REST APIs, and integrations in C# on .NET 9, orchestrated locally with .NET Aspire
Work across our data and messaging stack: PostgreSQL (EF Core), Redis/Valkey for caching, and Kafka for event-driven, asynchronous transaction flows
Design resilient, correct message-driven flows using proven microservice patterns — Transactional Outbox/Inbox, exactly-once delivery, idempotent consumers, sagas/process managers for distributed workflows, and event sourcing where it fits
Define and implement engineering standards, reusable patterns, and building blocks (configuration, observability, logging, test frameworks) adopted across teams
Improve reliability, performance, observability, testability, and maintainability of payment-critical services
Strengthen observability across services using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Thanos, Loki, and Grafana/Coralogix — including RED metrics, tracing, and health probes
Collaborate with product and integration teams to understand their needs and deliver effective, well-abstracted technical solutions
Mentor engineers and drive adoption of modern practices, including AI-assisted development

Strong backend development experience with C# and ASP.NET
Experience building distributed systems, microservices, APIs (REST and gRPC), and shared components
Understanding of microservice design patterns: Transactional Outbox/Inbox, exactly-once/idempotent message processing, sagas, distributed transactions, retries, and eventual consistency
Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/EF Core) and key-value/caching stores (Redis)
Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture (Kafka or equivalent)
Experience working with AI coding agents / AI-assisted development tools
Strong grasp of engineering best practices: integration testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability, and reliability
Ability to take ownership, drive technical initiatives, and collaborate across multiple engineering teams
