• In this role, MWDN acts as the recruitment partner, and the selected candidate will work directly with the client’s team on their product in an international environment
• What is your new project?
• Domain: eLearning
• Company size: 11-50
• 7+ years of experience building customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Strong experience in React
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases
• Comfort owning projects from concept through production, including making architectural trade-offs
• Track record of raising the bar for the team - through mentorship, code quality, or process improvements
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility experience
• Experience with observability tooling (logging, monitoring, alerting)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Willingness to work US timezone hours for team collaboration

• Your day-to-day in this position
• Own features end-to-end: scope the technical approach, build across frontend and backend, and ship to production
• Design and maintain APIs, data models, and backend services that are reliable and performant
• Build polished, accessible frontend experiences with attention to UI/UX details
• Build and integrate AI-powered features - from personalized learningexperiences to intelligent compliance tooling - from prototype to production
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate your work and help the team adopt effective AI tooling
• Instrument analytics and use data to guide product and engineering decisions
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver on key initiatives
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and reliability issues
• Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and architectural guidance
