Задачи

• You will work across a distributed, cloud-native platform handling 90 million bets per month, contributing to the reliability, scalability, and automation of systems that serve users across multiple geographies
• This is a full-flexibility role based in Madrid, with occasional in-office meet-ups and collaboration across our London, Zagreb, and wider European teams
• What the role involves
• Collaborate with geographically distributed engineering teams to design and implement scalable, robust software solutions
• Enhance the existing platform to increase the amount of business functionality driven by end-user configuration
• Maintain, enhance, and create common platform components and libraries (AWS, Erlang, Go, Kafka)
• Build on our cloud-native platform, enabling greater use of AWS technology to improve delivery speed, scale, and resiliency
• Enhance system automation across scale, resiliency, and deployment
• Build on our observability tooling and infrastructure to better understand the capabilities of our systems
• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation to understand and drive requirements and improvements
• Lead initiatives and drive continuous improvement to enhance team productivity and efficiency, while growing the engineering community through shared process and practices

Требования

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in a large-scale production environment
• Experience engineering high-quality, highly scalable software in an object-oriented or functional language
• Experience working with distributed systems
• Experience building and improving observability
• Passion for cloud-based development and automation
• Talent for clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing, and continuous deployment
• Willingness to learn new technologies

• Experience with AWS services (DynamoDB, OpenSearch, MSK, S3, Cognito, or similar)
• Interest in functional programming
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform
• Experience with data engineering principles, specifically Airflow, Kafka, or Snowflake
