• We have an opening for a Senior Staff Software Engineer in our Infrastructure organization focused on driving technical vision, setting architecture standards, and executing complex, high-leverage projects across cloud compute, traffic, security, and reliability.The high-impact role will broadly own the technical design and implementation of systems powering Temporal Cloud. You should be comfortable leading technical discussions with stakeholders, engaging with strategic customers, working effectively with executives, engineering leadership, and individual contributors across multiple teams. You are motivated to mentor and elevate the engineering bar and have a proven track record of deep technical impact.

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Expert-level design and coding skills with deep knowledge of performance tuning, concurrency, and distributed systems architecture
• Extensive experience designing and implementing large-scale public cloud infrastructure
• Excellent technical leadership and impact—at least 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with significant time spent operating at the Senior/Staff IC level
• Deep experience in building and leading the development of complex distributed software systems and microservices for a cloud infrastructure organization
• Hands-on expertise with multiple cloud providers, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Superior collaboration skills and experience driving technical alignment across an organization and drafting long-term technical roadmaps
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and a willingness to communicate complex solutions and results to all levels of the organization

• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan

• The estimated pay range for this role is $260,000 - $312,000 depending on experience and location
• Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets
