Задачи

• Lead and grow a team of engineers working across backend systems, platform services, and customer-facing experiences
• Set technical direction and help shape the roadmap for licensing and billing capabilities
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Finance, Sales, and other engineering teams to turn ambiguous business needs into shipped solutions
• Drive execution on projects such as
• licensing and access control
• usage tracking and billing
• admin dashboards, alerts, and controls
• bulk and automated license assignment
• trial and add-on provisioning flows
• Make thoughtful trade-offs across scalability, reliability, correctness, and speed of delivery
• Coach engineers, support their growth, and build a high-performing team culture
• Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and explain technical decisions in business-friendly terms

Требования

• Strong engineering management experience, ideally at the level of leading a team through complex product and platform work
• Experience working on fintech systems with real business impact, such as billing, monetization, entitlements, payments, or other infrastructure-heavy domains
• Ability to lead through ambiguity and move work forward across multiple stakeholders and dependencies
• Strong technical judgment and comfort discussing architecture, data models, APIs, and system reliability
• Track record of hiring, coaching, and developing engineers
• Clear, practical communication style and strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• A product mindset and curiosity about how technology supports new business models

• Experience with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models
• Experience with SaaS billing, licensing, or entitlement systems
• Experience building admin tools or customer-facing operational dashboards
• Background in platform, backend, or distributed systems work
• Experience working in a fast-moving product environment with evolving requirements

• We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role
• To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit
• For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $238,000-$270,000 CAD
• The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process
• The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified
• In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits
