We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the High Risk Change and Development team to take full ownership of building data solutions end-to-end, from requirement to robust implementation. The employment contract offered for this position is a permanent full time employment agreement.

• This is the right role for you if you are an experienced engineer with a passion for solving real business problems through technology
• You have an excellent ability to understand data models and data pipelines, and you combine solid technical skills with curiosity, ownership, and the ability to work independently on complex topics
• To succeed in this role, we believe that you
• Have strong technical expertise and are also genuinely interested in solving the business problem at hand
• Take ownership of the full lifecycle – from design to implementation and testing – and stand by the solutions you deliver
• Can clearly communicate complex technical concepts to others with ease
• Are interested in developing deep domain knowledge
• Care about long-term maintainability over short-term fixes
• Care to understand existing data models in legacy databases and passionate to develop the future data models underpinning solid and reliable solutions
• Use AI as a tool to improve productivity, quality, and speed
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, information technology, data engineering or relevant technical field
• Strong experience in data engineering and data warehousing, building large-scale data solutions
• Comfortable taking full ownership from requirements to production
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience with Oracle databases and DataStage ETL
• Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow)
• Proficient in data modelling
• Experience with enterprise API integration
• Solid engineering practices (git, CI/CD, automated testing)
• A growth mindset and willingness to learn
• It would be ideal if you also have experience with
• Integrations to/from COTS solutions
• AI and how AI can support development and operations in data solutions
• Messaging protocols such as Kafka and integrations using UC4 or Airflow
