• Hello, I’m Vianney, Technical Leader at Société Générale
• After my engineering degree in computer science from the Ecole des Mines, I first started my career in the industrial sector
• Then, I joined Societe Generale in the research and development department for the investment bank’s market activities
• This team is responsible for pricing all financial instruments
• In 2021, I wanted to take on a new challenge by joining the flagship trading platform, which is at the very heart of the trading floors
• This application handles the capture of transactions on financial markets, the recording of new trades, and the management of their entire lifecycle—from the front office to the back office
• It covers all asset classes: rates, credit, equities, cash, Foreign Exchange, structured products, etc
• In short, it’s an application at the heart of the business
• 300 people contribute to its development
• For my part, I joined the CORE team, which is responsible for technical architecture, security, monitoring, continuous delivery pipelines, and infrastructure in general
